5Comfortable ride!
By Craven Angel
I love this bike! I had a mountain bike, but I hate the way it made me lean forward and put excess pressure on my wrists. For short trips this was ok, but after a while, it got annoying and even painful.

I looked at beach cruisers and urban bikes, and finally settled on the Schwinn Suburban Comfort Bike. And I am so very glad I did!

I ride to and from work, over 10 miles a day. It's very comfortable, fast enough, and a very smooth ride. The bike lets me ride in an upright position, so no pressure on my wrists. The seat is wide and quite comfortable. I've ridden it as much as 20 miles at a stretch, and have found it to be a comfortable bike over that kind of distance.

It's a great bike, especially if you're carrying a few extra pounds that you might be trying to lose. Like me. :)

Highly recommended.

4Schwinn Suburban 7Sp Men's Comfort Bike (26-Inch Wheels)

Not bad, not bad at all. Better than I'd expected, actually. Just got back from a 14 mile ride. Is it perfect ? No. Anyone expecting a bike like this at this price to be perfect is...not paying attention. It's a perfectly serviceable bike at a reasonable price. What I've discovered as the major difference between a much more expensive "nice" bike and a bike like this is that the "nice" bike gets stolen.
So - on to the review. Out of the box, all the parts were there and very simple to put together. Directions ? Didn't look at them or need them, but I'm an engineer. However anyone with half a brain, Google, and a few tools can do what I did, don't let anyone tell you different. I had to true both wheels, adjust the brakes, and adjust the shifter. This is all to be expected from a bike built by defacto slave labor in China, shipped overseas on a cargo ship, kicked around in a warehouse, and delivered to my door by a delivery person with a overblown sense of entitlement and a belief that it's OK to damage other peoples property.
The components are by no means top of the line, but not bad and not defective. The rear derailleur is mostly black painted metal, not plastic and works fine. I've had a similar one on another bike I've ridden the snot out of for 13 years and it still works OK. The brakes work OK, there is no front derailleur to bother with. Expect to have to adjust things as you use the bike - that's normal on any bike. Things wear, stretch, bend, and need adjustment after a while. Generally more expensive components are stronger and will need fewer adjustments over the life of the bike - but adjust them you must. What do you think a "tune up" at your local bike shop is all about ? Again, a brain, some tools, and Google.
Would I buy this bike again ? Probably, should I have a need for one of this type again. Would I recommend it to someone I know ? Sure, for the price you can't beat it.

5Sturdy, agile bike.
By Travellingman 1352
I love this bike and am throughly enjoying riding it. I ride in flat terrain and find that the 7 speed works out very well for me. It is simpler to use than a 21 speed for a novice who is not racing. So far I have ridden over 60 miles with the longest trip being 17 miles and it is a great way of getting around and a good workout. I have installed Schwinn front and rear lights and a speedo. I find the speedo very useful as I not only know how fast I am going but also how far, average speed and other useful info. I also bought tire and rim liners from Amazon. The rim liners are essential as the top of the spokes inside the rim are very sharp and will puncture your tube inside the rim very quickly. You also need to get a pump and tire installer/remover tool or a small bicycle tool kit if you are a beginner. Assembly was easy, the brakes were a bit of a hastle as they needed adjustment and I didn't have a clue. I got advice on youtube and got it done ok. I recommend this bike as a good buy.
