My parents initially bought me this bike as a gift and it was stolen so I purchased a replacement. I do not have a car so I needed a dependable commuter bike. Obviously I liked it enough to buy it again, and the price was the best I've seen anywhere for the quality.
It is very cute and attractive looking. It looks like a bit like a retro cruiser but rides much smoother and is more comfortable than bikes with similar looks. The rack on the back is great and strong--even without cords I can hold attach my purse without worry that it will fall off. I also added a basket on front for more storage and it looks great with the bike's design.
I have two major issues with the bike: both bikes have had almost embarrassingly squeaky brakes. The first started squeaking after a few weeks and got really loud; the new one started squeaking the first time I rode it! However the bigger issue with the bike is that it is very heavy, which makes it less ideal for commuting. The description says lightweight aluminum. I'm not sure what the standards are for that, but most of my friends have bikes, several work in a bike shop, and this is the heaviest bike I've felt. My roommates and I were shocked how heavy the box it came in was. I've had to ask for help getting it up stairs and it can be a pain to get on the train while commuting due to the weight.
I cant speak to the ease of putting it together as I brought it into my friend's shop, but I looked through the directions and it seems you would need a standard tool set and at least some know-how to put it together so keep that in mind.
Overall, it is a solid and comfortable bike. I would highly recommend for a woman or teen who wants a cute but functional bike for basic commuting and exercise rather than long trips or serious cycling. Can't beat the price!

I bought this bike for my daughter. We ride on greenways together but ride average of 26.miles at a time. This frame is super lightweight aluminum we did do some upgrading of components but for the money this is a super all around bike 4 your money. Another nice thing about this bike is that it has a taller frame suitable for adults. Most department store bikes have smaller frames say around 17 inches. Too small for most average to tall adults. You can't buy the frame this cheap plus its got 700 wheels. Its been a winner for us.

Love my new bike-it did need some assembly so paid the teen up the street to assemble and then I was off. Rides nicely and great price. Higly recommend for middle age ladies that need fun exercise. Ride to store and buy my dinner-going green.
